WOW!!!...criminals cant stay in parliament anymore...landmark judgement of SC today..seems a small step towards cleansing parliament of 162/543 criminals facing trials..i wish they get convicted fast as only convicted ones will be kicked off...I wish they be disqualified for life..But after imprisonment they can still come back after 6 yrs from date of release,which is the only unpalatable thing in the judgement.also,.imprisonment has to be more than 2 yrs to be disqualified...dunno why SC has kept these two safety valves for criminals...If a govt servant is permanently debarred from service once convicted...why not these more serious criminals be meted out same treatment..that too when they have more heavy responsibilities and onuses than a civil servant.Barring these two illogical riders..still a welcome judgement...laudable!!
