WOW, what a show. Saw Neil Young solo acoustic at the Dolby in Hollywood night. 10 guitars, a banjo and 4 keyboards and he played them all. Stuff from Springfield (On the Way Home), CSNY (Ohio--still as raw today as 45 years ago), Stills/Young band (Long May You Run--last song of the night) and solo stuff (From Hank to Hendrix--the opener, Harvest, Heart of Gold, Only Love Can Break Your Heart, Southern Man, etc, etc, etc). Alternate takes on great songs (Mr. Soul; Man Needs a Maid), covers by Tim Hardin, Phil Ochs, Gordon Lightfoot....oh, and some guy named Bob. First song of the encore was a spectacular Blowin in the Wind. Ive seen hundreds of shows in my life and this was one of the very best. Glad I got to share it with my son. Since the cheap seats were over $100 and the primo seats were $400, I doubt hell be in the Stardust anytime soon unless Sixthman starts charging 10K for cabin on Cayamo.
