WOW what an incredable day! Well done to all the public sector workers who took a important decision and went on Strike! Also, wanted to say that its not true that private sector workers dont support the strike. its nonsense. 8 people from my workplace (a call centre) came on the strike rally because they supported the action Public sector workers were taking. For some it was their first ever political march! At the Peoples Assembly conference I said that the Union leaders of the most organised sections of the working class today had to take action and that if those in the public sector took a lead it would give younger workers the confidence to start to fight. What ive seen today shows that this is true and that we need more strike days. And a general strike so we can all come out! In solidarity, Tim
