WOW...where to even begin with the amazing weekend that we experienced at the JCHSS Summer Special. There are not enough words or gratitude to express how many special moments this weekend that we were fortunate to be apart of. The moments were not always glittered with recognition or ribbons, but more those quiet moments that come in quietly and have the largest impact. The text messages from folks, smiling faces and shy smiles from young riders, the hi-fives of riders and parents or trainers, all the running and laughing of kids, watching pictures posted on FB, enjoying church service on Sunday with horse peoples (thank you Danny Blackburn) and of course even the rough challenges that took place during the weekend that came out with positive results. Working with two very fine show managers Lesley Jenks of Finally Farm and Kate McAlinn with Sunchaser Equestrian who stepped up to the plate and took a chance to make the Summer Special, that MUCH MORE SPECIAL! Kudos to Lesley Jenks and her hunter folks for being tougher than me on Saturday and showing into the night. From the sound inside of the Indoor, the gaming show went well for Kate McAllin and her crew. And, the stories, all the stories I heard from everyone about their weekend...I could/should write a book. Personal thanks to ALL the vendors and sponsors who joined us. And special thanks to the ladies at CORRAL who supplied us with breakfast hospitality on Saturday and Sunday! I HEARD that the chocolate chip cookies were awesome, but did not get a chance to eat one! To the show staff of ALL the shows, thanks and kudos to you on a job WELL DONE....! And, to our show participants, parents, trainers, family, friends, horses, dogs and cat (yes someone had a cat) thank you for trusting us to provide you and yours with a quality equestrian event that we try to improve each year. And, finally thank you to God for the blessings of this weekend :)
