(WRCB) - Rain and storm chances are on the rise heading into the weekend. A frontal system Will move closer to the Tennessee Valley over the next couple of days. This increases the chance for some showers and storms right into the weekend. Some of the showers and storms could locally heavy rain along with gusty winds, small hail and vivid lightning. Look for scattered showers and storms Friday and possibly Friday night. Highs reach the upper 80s with lows in the lower 70s. Keep your rain gear with you this weekend. Periods of showers and storms stick around Saturday and Sunday as the frontal system stalls near the region. Cloud cover and occasional rain keep highs in the 80s to near 90 with lows in the lower 70s. A few storms may linger Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s with lows near 70. Two tropical systems, Iselle and Julio, are heading toward the Hawaiian Islands. Iselle may have hurricane strength by late tonight and early Friday as it heads towards the big island. Julio should stay north of the islands.
