PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Health Center Supervisor has day to day supervisory responsibility for the efficient coordination, management of workflow, efficient implementation of new services, and supports Health Center Manager by supervising health center staff resources for services provided. The Center Supervisor also oversees the day to day responsibilities involved in overseeing a multi-service program which includes a full range of reproductive health care services, family planning, surgical services and other diagnostic and/or therapeutic interventions, and revenue generating. Position may also require bilingual skills. Knowledge of Title X and Title 22 Preferred. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Medical Assistant Certificate or LVN License required. American Heart Association BLS Certification required. Minimum of two (2) years experience in a health, medical or social service setting. Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience. Reproductive health, primary/managed care, and/or Surgical services experience. Ambulatory surgical services experience preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Works closely in conjuction with the Health Center Manager to include the following: Assure medical center’s compliance with agency’s, state and federal regulations, by monitoring protocol compliance and service delivery. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing patient and employee complaints , resolving issues, and effectively managing health center flow.. Responsible for all matters related to the day to day supervising and non-direct patient care related services in a multi-leveled services facility. Oversee full range of services including but not limited to reproductive health care, primary care, managed care, and Surgical services.. Responsible for ensuring that health center is in compliance with established performance metrics. In conjunction with the Health Center Manager is accountable for the financial aspects of the center’s daily operations. Planning, forecasting, developing and managing an annual budget. Understands the payor environment, billing and fee scale requirements of the agency. In conjunction with the Health Center Manager prepare, evaluate and monitor operations/programs and establish center goals to ensure achievement of performance levels and standards. Participate as an active member of the clinical/client/patient services team, and agency-wide initiative, working effectively and collaboratively with other departments/services, including education programs, committees, conferences and meetings as required. On call duties. Create weekly schedule and ensure health center coverage. AssistHealthCenterManger with maintaining and analyzing monthly clinical program(s) statistics, make recommendations for service improvement, and submit reports as needed (to include management, incident/occurrence, volunteer, etc.). Work cooperatively with center staff to maintain maximum communication and support between center personnel, Health Center Manger, volunteers, patients and administration. Work in conjunction with Health Center Manager, Senior Management, Clinical Leads, supervisors, and staff to implement new services, policies and protocols. Responsible for working with the Health Center Manager to schedule, orient, and supervise personnel in the areas of personnel policies and procedures, medical procedures, statistical and record keeping requirements, office and equipment maintenance, Illness & Injury Policies & Procedures, CLIA Guidelines, Pharmacy and emergency procedures, and on-going training/updates as required. Ensure inventory control policies and procedures are followed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: May serve as a spokesperson for the center, in conjunction with Health Center Manager and Administration Office. Responsible for implementing additional services and training of staff as required.
