WTF is Bruce Runer doing visiting my community? Should I speak my mind or should I be quiet? It would not be right if I remain silent and so I will speak my mind. At first, I thought this was a joke: GOP Bruce Runer will be in my back yard, speaking to my neighbors about “what the republican party, along with himself can do for African Americans, in the city of Chicago.” I know they talking about the entire city of Chicago because there is no way this man and the Republican party give a damn about the Lawndale community. WTF is going on? First, lets look at the GOP since the Reagan Administration, a President that set the pace for all other republicans and anyone that really want to impress their fellow republicans need to study reaganomics—What is it? The theory that free markets and individual achievement are the primary factors behind economic prosperity. To this end, they advocate in favor of laissez-faire economics, fiscal conservatism, and the elimination of government run welfare programs in favor of private sector nonprofits and encouraging personal responsibility. The use of the ‘Death Penalty” is and has always been a must do law, regardless of the probabilities of error, if twelve people find you guilty and we can kill you, send a message. Reaganomics-- This theory holds that reduced income tax rates increase GDP growth and thereby generate the same or more revenue for the government from the smaller tax on the extra growth. This belief is reflected, in part, by the partys long-term advocacy of tax cuts. Many Republicans consider the income tax system to be inherently inefficient and oppose graduated tax rates, which they believe are unfairly targeted at those who create jobs and wealth. They believe private spending is usually more efficient than government spending. I don’t like to complain, nor bring up the past but if you start a football game off, already, down by 20 points, the game ain’t even. It didn’t start off fair! Our ancestors were removed from their homeland by force and held captive for almost 500 years. Then allowed to compete in a capitalist system without anything extra! That is bull shit! It’s not fair for a football team to start a game 20 points behind their opponent and it’s never been fair for African Americans in this country! The republican leaders of southern Illinois, this state, have sought out an invite, such as this, for many decades. They would love to visit Chicago if only to have everyone that attend this Bruce Rauner’s Town Hall meeting drink kool-aid, like the Rev Jim Jones did in Guyana. Where did this “invite” come from? Who in there right mind would invite a republican into my community? My community that is need jobs, education but most of all, REPARATIONS! For those who don’t understand, by definition, Reparations, as defined; amends: compensation for a wrong, or something that is done to achieve this—500 years of slavery justify. This is what the meeting is all about. The Bruce Rauner’s Town Hall, on September 15, 2015, at The Ice Movie Theatre (Roosevelt & Homan) is truly about, giving clarity to why reparations should be given to African Americans of the United States of America. You may argue that this is about the “lesser of the two evils”—this is a far better argument than anything that I’ve heard from my fellow activist. If you attend, please, be careful and don’t drink or eat anything—remember the Tuskegee syphilis experiment. I won’t be there because I know this just ain’t fair.
