Its a solid daily with lots of maintenance done and tasteful modifications. Im just coming to a time where it isnt very exciting to me and Im curious what else is out there. Ive been a VW certified mechanic for 5 years and all work on the car has been done by me. Exterior ----------- *Gti front end conversion with smoked euro E-code housings wrapped in flyeyez with Silver Star Ultra bulbs. *JOM two piece badgeless grill , lower insert painted to match body. *Roof professionally painted gloss black and cleared. *Volvo front lip *Smoked Hella side markers *JOM smoked long fogs and turns *Stubby antenna *Smoked tails *17x8 Konig Remembers with BBS 2 piece center nut/waffle *OHTSU FP7000 tires ( made by Falken ) with less than 2k on them *Front and rear fenders rolled the right way Engine ----------- *153k Strong running OBD2 vr6 OEM chains, tensioners, and guides done at 138k *Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel done with chains *Oil pump done with chains *Radiator , coolant flange, thermostat, water pump, crossover pipe done with chains *G60 rado solid trans mount *Polished intake manifold *Polished OBD1 valve cover ( New gasket less than 10k ago *Cold air intake with shield *Working secondary air ( although it could be deleted as the cat has been ) *Working AC/Power steering (with new serp belt less than 10k ago) *ECM has TT chip *OEM down pipe, 42 dd cat delete with 42dd 02 spacer ( no CEL ) two resonators from the TT kit and a Borla muffler ( very nice exhaust note) *Decent no name oil catch can *Forge silicone coolant hose kit *BFI stage.5 motor mounts (not yet installed) *Optima red top battery ( with battery blanket ) *Plated oil pan with mk5 gti drain plug ( inverted 8mm allen as opposed to low hanging 17mm bolt ) *New coolant reservoir since photos *Brand new serp belt tensioner *New spark plugs and wires within last 10k Chassis ----------- *New JOM coils with 500 miles on them ( fk coils I had blew ) *BFI poly front control arm bushings and swap bar bushings *Lower adjustable tie bar between control arms for added rigidity *Ball joints , tie rod ends, alignment within 10k *New OEM front strut bushings and bearings done with coils. Rear poly bushings done with coils. *Zimmerman cross drilled rear rotors, Akebono rear brake pads, F.A.G wheel bearings all done with coils *Front wheel bearings done at 130k Interior ----------- *working heated leather.
