WTTG TV Fox 5, WDCA My20 & MyFoxDC November 20, 2013 Sports Producer (Regular Full-Time): Selects stories, assembles them in a rundown, creates graphics, writes and copy edits the stories and coordinates on-air presentations. Responsible for maintaining a constant dialog with viewers on various social media platforms and in supporting station’s online sports presence through creative articles, web polls, pictures, blogs and social media posts. Sports producer will ensure sports segments and shows meet live production deadlines and standards of production. News Writer: (PT Temp) News Writer to write VO and VO/SOT packages for assigned news programs. The writer will assist the producers in the preparation of the newscast, selecting stories and assigning production personnel. The writer will assist with story development and select file and feed video. A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related field and two years prior news writing or producing experience is required. Major market news experience is preferred. Ability to work well under strict deadlines, and the ability to work flexible hours and shifts is essential. Proven creative writing and interpersonal skills are also required.
