WWE News: -It’s no secret that WWE feels they are dealing w/ some major roster depth issues right now. Vince McMahon has been working to add some star power to the top of the card as he feels, & has accepted that, the current crew is probably the weakest they’ve been in 10 years as far as overall star power goes. We’ve noted how Randy Orton hasn’t been happy about his role and those issues continue. It was said that Orton wasn’t happy w/ getting the loser of John Cena vs. Dean Ambrose at Hell In a Cell. Orton is reportedly still asking for time off also. Vince reportedly offered to give Orton a bigger push but does not want to give Orton time off, due to the roster issues. Vince actually wants to have Orton work more & doesn’t want to commit to a stronger push if he’s not willing to work full time. Orton was reportedly asked by officials to start working SmackDown tapings full time & refused. -The 2014 WWE Slammy Awards are no longer planned for the 12/29 RAW from Washington, DC. They will take place at the 12/8 RAW from the Bon Secours Center in Greenville according to advertisements for that show. -We noted before that WWE officials were very careful to not portray John Cena vs. Randy Orton at Hell In a Cell as the losers match. Announcers on RAW were told to never say that the loser of Cena vs. Dean Ambrose would be facing Orton. Orton also kept referring to his match as the main event. Its possible that Rollins vs. Ambrose goes on last at Hell In a Cell but both matches will likely be promoted equally. Regarding Cena vs. Orton, this will be the ninth time that the two have faced in a singles match on PPV. Each man has won three matches clean & each has won via disqualification. Orton won their previous Hell In a Cell match in 2009. - According to Wade Keller of the Pro Wrestling Torch, Ryback has recovered from his surgery and has been cleared to wrestle. However, he has yet to return because WWE is mulling over how to re-introduce him on on television; this could include tweaks to his character and a renewed singles push. - PWInsider confirms reports that WWE will be making Steve Austin more prominent in the company next year. They are currently working on plans for next year but nobody seems to know exactly what those plans may be. Austin is not expected to wrestle at WrestleMania 31. - Regarding Team 3D possibly going to WWE, word is that feelers from both sides have been sent out now that 3D is no longer under contract to TNA. - For those wondering about the Natalya & Tyson Kidd divorce storyline on Total Divas, there has been no divorce filed and its part of the show. -Word coming out of WWE this week is that Eden will be replacing Justin Roberts as the new RAW announcer. Lilian Garcia will stay on SmackDown & when Lilian isnt present at live events, Byron Saxton will fill in. It was noted that the decision for Eden to work RAW has already been finalized but plans could change between now and Monday. Theres also talk that JoJo may be brought to the main roster. JoJo, who was on the first Total Divas season, has been doing ring announcing in NXT for some time now. - Bill $
