WWHS ’64 Memories - Folk Music - If I Had A Hammer (Pete Seeger); Peter Yarrow, Paul Stookey, and Mary Travers; 1962. Peter, Paul, and Mary formed in 1961 and released their first album in 1962. It reached Billboards Top Ten (album) chart and remained there for 10 months. While they may have been a somewhat commercialized group, they knew how to sing and they sure recorded some beautiful music over the years.
