WWYD? School accountant calls leaves a VOICEMAIL that my child owes fundraising money and she has been questioning him on when hes going to pay it. Now she is going to report the $60 as theft on his disciplinary record if it isnt paid. 1st dont question my child about anything. 2nd I signed the contract, why didnt you contact me by phone, email, letter, or by mail up until now. 3rd you want to threaten theft charges how about I use this voicemail as evidence of flawed protocol and procedure. Lastly I contacted the principal, he acknowledged they dropped the ball and shouldve contacted me from the beginning and will correct the situation with the employees involved. So my question is should I leave it at that? The money isnt the question. He owes it, Ill pay it. I think it was piss poor judgment and bad taste to leave a threatening voicemail on my phone as if my child is delinquent.
