WYTNER KABIMBA WAS LEGITIMATELY APPOINTED, AS ACTING PRESIDENT-CABINET OFFICE Following the comments that the recently appeared in the Press questioning the delegation of Presidential Powers to Honourable Wytner Kabimba, Minister of Justice, SC, ODS, MP, Dr. Roland Msiska, Secretary to the cabinet, would like to confirm that his excellency Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata, President of the Republican of Zambia, did indeed appoint Hon. Wytner M. Kabimba, SC, ODS, MP to act, as President before his departure for Israel. The President signed the instrument of delegation of the functions of President on Friday, 20th June, 2014 and complied with the law in all respects. The appointment was published through Gazette notice No. 385 of 2014 dated 27th June, 2014. It is hoped that the speculations over this matter will now be allayed.
