Waal...we went down to the Hol....er River X thiz mornin.......Zippy caught 5.....1 went bout 4 lbs....pichers below.......Fuzzy caught 1...I caught one on a blue mop fly...Dawg caught 5....all in all a good mornin on the Holston fer all cept me........Me and Dawg wuz waitin on Zip and Fuzz bout daylight thiz morn.....whin I heerd a crow cry........I told Dawg....thats a good sign....gwine to be a good day.......Waal...it twuz fer Dawg...hiz best day on the Holston and fer the others.......Reckon that good sign only applies to me whin Im huntin......Fer I no sooner got to the river whin I broke my wadin stick........had it fer years........give to me by an Angel I believe.......Old Doc Thornsberry came into my life durin hard times fer me.........I had a ruptured disc in my back.....He diagnosed it.......Found out he wuz a fly fisherman and invited him down on the Holston....Whin I got sumwhat better...he went with me.......He iz deeply religious....he tolt me he had fished everwhur.... and that day wuz the best he ever had on the water...anywhurs.....We both caught a sackfull......Evertime he hooked one...he would holler at the top of hiz voice.......Hallelujah!...Hallelujah!....Praise The Lord!......Thank You Lord Jesus!.........Evertime....A boat came up the river and anchored out from uz........Evertime Doc caught one....they would stop fishin and jes stare at him........Kept waitin to hear an Amen from em but didnt..........Doc left town and I heerd he jined the service......never seed or heerd from him agin......He prayed alot fer me whin I wuz hurtin.......Back to my luck....I put my camry in my pack...set it on the shore well above the water line or so I thought....At nine a.m they turned one gate on and I wuz well downstream from my pack whin the water astarted risin.....and risin ...and risin.......my pack and everthang in it got soaked...........fraid its rurned.........Damn Crows!....Pore mans Sage....>)))>
