Wagner College Seahawks vs Syracuse University Orange.........you see hawks ... I see doves WELCOME SUBSCRIBERS: With the misfortune of having to play two(too) Big(big) Ten teams to start the year, our “beloved” (too strong a word to describe…..the basketball team , yes….football …not at this point!) Orangemen, open their home season at 0-2 against Staten Island’s mighty Wagner college Seahawks. From where I sit , we might as well be playing against Damian Rhodes’ FM Hornets ( actual attendance would probably be better!). Just like two weeks ago at Metlife stadium, the players will look out and see 20,000 empty seats!....Anyway , let’s talk football. As we all know, with Drew Allen having thrown four interceptions in last week’s game alone, and with Terrell Hunt’s impressive looking drive nearing the end of the Northwestern game, we are , at least for now, a two quarterback team. One beer drinking fan was quoted as saying……”Schafer is the one coach to have…..when you’re having more than one”QB… ..another fan who was discouraged by Allen’s turnovers, was heard singing a Rolling Stones song “this could be the last time” On the serious side, however, both QB’s have shown talent and potential satisfying the coaching staff’s argument that they just need some experience….and playing these next two games against the Wagner Sea haha hawks and the green wave of two lane is just what this team needs. Perhaps at 2-2 fans will be singing another stones’ hit….”It’s all right now”. …..As for tomorrow’s game, regardless of who is at quarterback, SU will dominate!.......enough said.
