Wait a minute, let me share something with you. I just laughed while going through some mind stretching articles and couldnt help but to share it with you. Satya Sagar posted an article in Kafila (a blog dedicated for politics and media critique) and he submit that after reading Marxs works on ending the exploitation of men by men he realized that Marx lacked an understanding on the origins of exploitation. According to Satya exploitation of cows by man (captured, tethered, milked and butchered) marked the beginning of exploitation. Satya further asserts that Marx could have figured out, if he cared, that the origins of the term cattle derive from chattel which means personal movable property, which is where the term capital also derives its meaning from. Guess what Satya had to say about Das Capital? He states unapologetically that Marx should have called his book Das Cattle and not Das Capital. (Ruminations of a Holy Cow: Satya Sagar, kafila.org).
