Wait and You’ll Be Pleasantly Surprised “Is not My word like fire [that consumes all that cannot endure the test]? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock [of most stubborn resistance]?.”Jeremiah 23:29 (AMP)There’s a door on our vehicle that slides open. However, sometimes it breaks and won’t open. No matter what I do, I can’t make that door slide open. I always have to wait and then out of the blue it opens and I am pleasantly surprised. No matter how closed hearted someone may be to the Gospel or to you, there is nothing you can do to open their heart. When it comes to the heart, it is best left in the hands of God. He is the master at dealing with the heart of men. He knows how to soften it and bring it to a point where it’s ready to receive. No matter how long it takes, if you wait on God, one day you will be pleasantly surprised when their hearts are open and they are ready to receive. What if their hearts never open? You ask. Well, leave that to God. Wait on Him and cooperate with Him, and you will be pleasantly surprised.Prayer: Father, thank You for caring enough to giving me wisdom and understanding. You are a master at dealing with the heart of men. I choose to wait on You to soften the heart and bring that person in my life to a place where they can receive. In Jesus name, Amen.
