Wait, wait wait... let me get this right. You quit school in the 7th grade because you got pregnant and really dont know who the father is. Two years later you had child number two but again, cant say for sure who the father is. Same with child number three two years later. So, in reality you are an irresponsible person who is now an unwed mother with virtually no education. However our countrys elected officials feel that we hard working tax paying citizens are obligated to help you. Ok, how about this... HELPING...> Our tax dollars allow you to live in low income Government Housing. HELPING...> Our tax dollars allow you to get over $350 of Food Stamps each month. HELPING...> Our tax dollars allow you to have a medical card allowing free doctor visits and medication for your children. YOUR CHOICES...>> You own a car, a fancy smart phones with internet access and unlimited text. You own a personal home computer, have home internet service, you have three TVs in your home, you subscribe to cable, plus you have two movie channels. You order from fast food at least 3 to 4 times a week, and actually go out to a restaurant to eat once a week. You go play Bingo every Wednesday nights, and go to a Club or Casino at least twice a month. You now feel that you are not be treated fairly in the work force so you are wanting your minimum wage to be increased to $15 an hour. Ok, I am willing to compromise. I, as a hard working tax payer, am willing to agree to a $15 per hour minimum wage, IF you give up that fancy phone for a regular cell phone, cancel your cable movie channels, stop going to the weekly Bingo games, give up club & casino visits, stop the fast food purchases 3 or 4 times a week and stop going out to restaurants to eat once a week. Oh, but wait, you do realize that your increase in minimum wage will affect your low income rent and the $$ amount of food stamps you receive, right. (I mention that just so you are aware. I dont want it to be said that I tricked you). Ok, so have we got a deal???
