Waiting for Joy to end her last shift at the old Wellstar Paulding Hospital. It has always been good to and for our families. Her mother Eloise Griffis was the Director of the personnel dept for years. Joy started on the switchboard when she was 15. Katie Simpson and Haley and I have eaten many meals and spent a lot of time at holidays when Joy would have to work. Katie summed it up pretty good while talking to Haley when she said you know, we kind of grew up there. Both my daddy, Doyle Carroll and Joys, Jack Griffis made their heavenly departure from here. Now, its time to look to new beginnings and new memories in a fantastic state of the art facility. But we should never forget the numerous people who, so many years ago made this all possible. May God bless our new hospital, those that will work there and everyone that will ever be a patient there. So long old friend.
