Waitrose and Wye Cricket Club Juniors – please help your club in July! Any of you who shop in Waitrose will have seen that they feature three local organisations, groups or charities each month. Everyone who shops there is given a green token at the checkout, and they put it in whichever of the three boxes near the exit that they think is most worthy of support. For the month of July, I delighted to inform you that Wye Cricket Club Junior Section has been chosen as one of the three organisations to benefit. The way it works is that Waitrose put up £1000 each month and that is divided between the three based on the level of support. For example, if we get 25% of the total of green tokens then we would get a donation of £250 from Waitrose. My message/plea is therefore simple – if you do shop at Waitrose, please support the club with your token. If you don’t, but have always wondered whether it was worth a try, then make July the month you try them out! Many thanks and happy shopping! Alan
