Wajir govt set to sponsor talented players. The county govt of Wajir through the office of youth affairs headed by politician Halima Ali (Shina) is planning to give the local-based sporting events and its management a major facelift. Halima Shina today unveiled an array of development plans that will uplift the football status of the county. She said plans were underway to compose a 23-player squad that will represent the county at the national premier league -KPL. The players will be selected from a tournament that will be sponsored by the county government. The three best teams that will emerge victorious will be absorbed by the banks operating in Wajir.
