Wake County Commissioner Betty Lou Ward hosted a lovely event this evening for the countywide Democratic candidates and the Wake County Democratic Party. It was great to talk with two smart, passionate women serving on the school board--Chair Christine Kushner and Monika Johnson Hustler-- and to have a conversation about moving Wake County forward with my friends Jessica, Sig, and John who are running to serve on the Wake County Commission. This is what leadership looks like in the capital county!
