Waldman Family Update: We are all settled into our apartment in Wahoo and enjoying the town very much. In particular, we have been very blessed by the Neumann family support (both church and school). Cody is loving that he can incorporate the Catholic faith in his day-to-day lessons. The boys are doing well. Gabe is a whopping 18.5 pounds at 5 months and has such a calm, sweet disposition. He LOVES to play peek-a-boo! Elijah (and the rest of us!) are adjusting to life coping with diabetes. We check his blood sugars a minimum of 9 times per day, and he gets 4 insulin shots (around meal times). We are working closely with the Diabetes Team at Childrens to try and keep his numbers under control and are hoping to get him on an insulin pump soon. He has definitely hit the terrible twos, but enjoys Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, Elmo, playing with cars, drawing/painting, reading and playing with his brother. I started working at Bergan Mercy in Omaha as a nurse on a Cardiac/PINS unit. It is such an interesting place to work and I am really loving day shift and my coworkers. Things seem to be falling into place! We are feeling very blessed. :)
