He just moved from one spot to the other studying the gladiators - an elderly APC member, and the thuggish-looking PDP chieftain, who appeared younger. Instead of arrest, Abubakar invited both men with onlookers forming a circle. And he began, both of you are old enough to be my father. How will you feel if your son should arrest you and detain you? How will you feel if me, your son, should put handcuffs on you? This thing you are doing is what we your children should be doing, and youll caution us. I dont understand much Yoruba. But I heard some terrible words you have used against yourselves, and I feel very ashamed. What do you want me to do to you people now, because many people here have tried to stop you and both of you have refused? It was the elderly APC man who spoke first. Ill leave now, my son. Sorry about the embarrassment. The younger PDP guy could not utter a word. It was admiration from all sides for the young police officer. Kudos to you young man. That was professionalism.
