Walk for the Values Prasanthi Nilayam - 14 12 2014 - Sunday A unique programme “WALK FOR VALUES” has been organized on 14 12 2014 Sunday here in Puttaparthy, in the evening. The main purpose of conducting this walk is to promote human and spiritual values in the common public on the lines of the Five fundamental principles of Sathya, Dharma, Shanthi, Prema and Ahimsa as advocated by Bhagavan Baba. Earlir at 04 00 PM, Sri R J Ratnakar, Trustee, and Sri G S R C V Prasada Rao, Secretary of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust have addressed the gathering assembled at Old Mandir. Later, this Walk for Values Programme was flagged off by Sri Rathnakar and Sri Prasad Rao. Around 1675 Students from Balavikas Movement have participated and were accompanied by Balvikas Gurus and devotees, to conduct this programme from Old Mandhir to Vidhya Giri and return to Old Mandhir. Children were holding placards with quotes of Bhagawan Baba. It may please be noted that similar programme has been organized in almost all the districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the same lines, today. “Where there is purity of heart there is beauty of character. Where there is beauty of character there is harmony in the home. Where there is harmony in the home there is order in the nation. Where there is order in the nation there is peace on earth.” These beautiful words indicate the path to universal peace and brotherhood of Mankind; “Walk for Values” is designed to raise the awareness of Human Values and to promote Individual responsibility towards collective future of Humanity. Walk for Values is a platform to educate people on the importance of practicing these five Human Values in daily life and the awareness it creates in making of enlightened citizens for universal peace. How is this Walk different? It is not just a walk; it is actually a journey, a pilgrimage of self discovery, Self transformation & self purification.
