Walked down town to the City Commission meeting. Now the wife has a pedometer we walk everywhere. 11 miles yesterday. Commission meeting was interesting but nothing exciting. As I have been saying we need to get involved at the lowest level, since we have no kids in school we are starting with the city commission. How many of you are involved with PTOs or city commissions? Youd be surprised what you learn. So many more important things to do? Games on your computer, movies, TV. Think of it as a night out at the movies. Karen and I went to our local watering hole after the meeting, surprise surprise some of the commissioners and the Mayor were in there too. Only bad thing, typical Florida weather, no forecasted rain but we walked 2 1/2 miles home in the rain.
