Walked in tonight to find Dad waiting in his wheelchair with a huge grin on his face. He announced that his left hand had come back! He showed me a bunch of finger movements and his hand appeared almost normal. He said he was just sitting there and felt like his hand was different. He decided to test it out and pushed himself in his wheelchair down to the other end of the hallway. He had bumped into the door but laughed and said that was because he couldnt see not because of his hands. Dad then said he had to make a video to show everyone. I havent seen him this excited since the stroke. He kept thanking God and said it has to be the prayer. Nothing has really changed but he suddenly felt like it was different. So we made the video and ate banana cake to celebrate. Us Walshs are emotional eaters. We eat when we feel any emotion. So we celebrated and smiled and laughed. Dad was waving at people in the hall, yelling out to people - pretty much out of control ecstatic with excitement! His excitement was evidence to me that he was feeling something very different than he had before. Something had dramatically changed. Keep praying for increased awareness in left side! This is a huge step in the right direction.
