Walking In The Dark Proverbs 4:18-19 (New Living - TopicsExpress

Walking In The Dark Proverbs 4:18-19 (New Living Translation) The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day. But the way of the wicked is like total darkness. They have no idea what they are stumbling over. Psalm 37:24 (New Living Translation) Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand. I can be a very negative person. I am only comfortable saying that because I know confession is good for the soul. I don’t know how I got like this. It seems I’m always looking for and seeing the bad side of a person or situation. The Bible says that if your look for evil it will find you (Proverbs 11:27). That’s right, not you will find evil but evil will find you! Ouch. There is hope in Jesus Christ and I know He is renewing my mind by changing the way I think. I have gotten so much better over the years most of the time my thinking is really good. It’s during the “dark times” my attitude and thinking revert back to the old me. That’s when I start stumbling around in the dark. I’ve noticed that over time my stumbling isn’t as noticeable and that now I hardly ever fall. It seems like God is more interested in making us functional in the midst of our imperfection than He is in making us perfect. I‘m not worried, the Lord is an expert at teaching us how to walk, even in the dark.
