Walking in Abundant Life Part - 6 Mark 4:26-27 -- And He said, The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. After a farmer has sown his field with seed, he returns to his home content in the knowledge that this seed that he has sown will bring an abundance of harvest for himself and his family. He hasnt the faintest idea how this will happen, but he knows for sure that it will happen. He also knows that for this harvest to manifest, he has to return to the field daily to water the seed. When we speak the Word of God, it is a seed planted in our hearts. We have to water this incorruptible seed by thanking and praising God. Mark 11:24 -- Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. The farmer waters the seed, even though he cannot see it. The growing comes after the watering. The growth comes spontaneously as we keep and water Gods Word, because we are fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. (Rom 4; 21) In fact, Gods desire is greater than ours in carrying out His promises contained in His Word, for they bring fruition (completion) to His eternal plan and fulfillment to His grand design. We need only to plant and water the seed (Word), Gods righteousness and justice will bring about the growth and fulfillment of those promises. Many of us start watering the seed with great zeal, but when we see no results immediately, we lose enthusiasm and quit. It is very important in the midst of this process to develop a patient attitude, because impatience and contaminated faith will block the growth of the seed. The love we share, the time we spend for intercession for others, the visits we make to the sick in the hospital -- however feeble they are, however much they seem fruitless at the beginning, they are not wasted; they will bear fruit in their own time. We do not know how. It is the mystery of the kingdom. The kingdom does not operate according to human calculations. Like the farmer, we do the work which God has entrusted to us, however small it is however difficult it is, and then trust in God to bring about the result. Christ is always faithful. Let us pray to be always faithful to him. - Pope Francis.
