Walking in His light Psalm 89:15 An important connection is made - TopicsExpress

Walking in His light Psalm 89:15 An important connection is made in the verse above. Its a connection between walking with the Lord, and walking in light. Both of these go together, because when youre walking close to God, youre also going to benefit from the fact that His presence is radiant and expels all darkness. Anyone whos ever gathered around a campfire on a moonless night understands this principle. The closer you are to the fire, the closer you are to that source of the light, the more you can see, and the more beneficial the fire is to you. In a similar way, those who abide in God and live in close fellowship with Him arent going to stumble or fumble their way through life. Theyre going to make wise choices and decisions. Theyre going to stay away from things that are dangerous and hurtful to them. They can clearly and directly see what the Lord has for them, because His light is leading the way. The opposite is equally true. People who stray in their relationship with God are also going to lack a sense of direction. Their minds are going to be clouded, and their hearts are going to be confused. Theyre going to jump into things that arent good for them. Theyre going to establish ties and relationships that are going to burn them in the end. Why? Because they lack the light of the Lord to illuminate their way. Let this be a lesson to all of us. Our walk with the Lord will determine whether we walk in light or darkness. The closer to Him, the clearer the way. Light of the world, help us to walk in Your light for all of our lives. Its a connection between walking with the Lord, and walking in light. Both of these go together, because when youre walking close to God, youre also going to benefit from the fact that His presence is radiant and expels all darkness. Think about it... What does this passage reveal to me about God? What does this passage reveal to me about myself? Based on this, what changes do I need to make? What is my prayer for today?
