Walking on water to meet Jesus was all about Peter’s faith. He - TopicsExpress

Walking on water to meet Jesus was all about Peter’s faith. He could’ve walked the entire sea had he kept his eyes on Jesus. Or he could’ve drown in a small creek had he never put his eyes on Jesus. The size or amount of water had nothing to do with it. It was all about Peter’s faith, and Peter’s doubt. He stepped out, and then he got scared. Jesus reached out and saved Peter and then encouraged him to believe. He says the same to you and me. Step out, and then believe in and on Jesus to give you the strength and the courage to keep walking. Do you have a difficult decision to make? What are you waiting for? What do you have to lose? You can walk on the water too. It’s all about faith. Step out. “But Jesus immediately said to them: ‘Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.’ ‘Lord, if it’s you,’ Peter replied, ‘tell me to come to you on the water.’ ‘Come,’ he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, ‘Lord, save me!’ Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. ‘You of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’” (Matthew 14:27-31).
