Walking through the mall yesterday, I recognized the sweet 2nd grade smile of one of my very first students. I walked up to this tall, bearded man holding an infant. Excuse me, Im sorry to bother you, but is your name Dustin? He answered with a quizzical, whos-this-random-lady, Yes? I was your second grade teacher at Harrison. Miss Woods! This boy is now a 24 year old, bearded man with a two month old baby, and yet seeing him 16 years after having him as a student, I spotted his face and still saw an 8 year old kiddo. The time has flown.
