Wallows are a great place to start or finish a hunt due to them being frequently visited by Sambar Stags (and Hinds).. That being said, it is best to keep your distance as leaving your scent can deter a potential Trophy Deer from entering the immediate area.. Find a vantage point to glass the area keeping the wind in your face or set up a tree stand and observe.. Locating a Wallow can be challenging, but a great place to start is dried up creek beds.. Often you will find spot locations along the old creek that has a small trickle feed of water supplying just enough to support a frequently used wallow.. Check your topographical maps / gps to locate water sources and be sure to dedicate time to doing recon work.. If you Fail to Plan your Hunt then you Plan to Fail..
