Walt Guenther here....A generous family recently let the Historical Society scan some old Highlands pictures. This picture taken in 1947 is an excellent shot of the US Government dock under the 1932 Highlands bridge. Most Highlanders called it the Buoy Dock. It was used to store and repair buoys by the Coast Guard. It was right next to Kohlenbuschs boat docks where Mobys is now. Anyone remember fishing or swimming from that dock?
