This is SO awe inspiring & such a wonderful testament of PERSEVERANCE & the strength that lies within a person that is surrounded & supported by love from someone that believed in them. First, they have to believe in themselves. I do! I believe in them! & remind them that youve been there all along. Not sarcastically, but reassuringly. To my sister in Christ Helen, Id wanted to share with you that ALL of Gods children are created in the likeness & image of our Father God, Almighty. He believes that each of us to be precious & beloved in His sight. We, as human beings, have a tendency to forget & lose focus of whom we were created for & by whom we created by. We were each created to mainly worship Him! In everything that we say & in everything that we do, we were created to give all of our glory, honor & praises to God. God is a very jealous God & when we lose focus off of what God had purposed each of His children to do than He gets very upset with us & allows things to occur in our lives to make it very apparent to us that we need Him in our lives. When we place everything else before God, were going to go through some stuff until we realize that it was because we werent being obedient, we didnt ask Him, first for these stuff & that because wed placed these S.T.U.F.F. (Some Things Unfit For Favor, from God - Pastor Lui Lupe Salt, Nations Christian Fellowship, Augusta, GA) before Him. Examples of STUFF: our money, our careers, our husbands/wives, our children, our friends, our family - if youd rather go shopping than to go into His place of worship 1 day out of the week that God had ordered you by His commandment to worship Him on, thats placing your STUFF before God. Its NEVER too late & Hes ALWAYS loved us. Hes NEVER left any of us, nor forsaken us. God has placed each of His children to be His light into this dark & ugly world, not a light snuffer. These are what I like to call the Eeyores of life that just sucks the life out of a person because they have no life of their own. As a child of God, Youre supposed to feel energized & empowered by His strength, not from our own. On our own, we cant make it through! I know that I couldnt have survived all of these years without my God. Its only by our Gods Grace & Mercy upon our lives that were redeemed & brought back to live His life that Hes promised us. Its not how we began this race but how we finish it. My end goal is to hear Gods voice say to me, Well done, my good & faithful servant. Wouldnt that be wonderful to hear? Isnt that something to strive for? Every day is a spiritual battle, but each morning that God blesses us with the simple gift of the breath of life, we must place on our Full Armor of God, Ephesians 6, & be prepared for each days warfare. Some are easier than others & some are too difficult for us to take on so we must kneel before God & ask Him to stand in the fight for us & allow Him to fight those battles. Its not being a punk, its acknowledging that God is a bigger power than us & that we know He can handle it. In humility & respect to His majestic power over our lives, God will fight for us. But, ONLY if we allow ourselves to totally surrender to Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. There are so many of us that are so badly battle-scarred from too many tragedies that may have occurred in our lives. Thankfully, over time, we learn to heal with the strength & with the support of the older members & pastor & elders in a solid, full bible church. Gods love helps us to move on with our lives & to overcome every obstacle. I pray that this will occur for you. Im sharing this with you, my sister, because I need you to know that youre not alone & that God knows your pain & therell be a day that youll be able to release them all to Him. Until then, please be comforted with the knowledge has ALWAYS remained the same yesterday, today & forever more. I need you to believe this in your heart that this is true, in order to break that hold that the devil has had on you for far too long. I love you as Christ has loved all of us & I pray that someday well be able to look back on this & laugh. Much ALOHA to you & your beautiful family.
