After all, today’s party more or less represents the very interests that so enraged their 19th-century forebears. Take a stroll through New York’s Upper East Side, and you will mostly encounter Obama voters. Drive along California’s famed 101 from Los Angeles to San Francisco, and you will not enter a single county that went for Romney. At the corner of Wall and Broad, the movers-and-shakers walking past you will be about as likely to have given to the Donkeys as to the Elephants. As I have said, Obama really doesnt give a damn about inequality. He gives a damn about votes and nothing else. Hes mainly supported by millionaires and billionaires that he funnels federal money to. They dont give a damn about income inequality either because theyre happy being in the 1% and intend to stay there. Just think, does Beyonce and Jay-Z pay their maids, kitchen help, butlers, and kitchen help millions, or do they pay them a prevailing wage with probably some nice bonuses? Do you know of any Hollywood A-list stars that demand instead of being paid 15 million to do a picture, that they only take $500,000 and distribute the rest amongst the hard working people who without there would be no movie? Do Democrats in Manhattan working in Wall Street keep only $500,000 for themselves and give the rest of the profits to the lower level employees? You know the answer is NO in each case. So income inequality is a ruse, a sham, and a fake. Watch what people do, not what they say. The problem is people become enamored with politicians, entertainers, and sports stars spouting off about income inequality with absolutely no intentions of acting on what they say is a problem. And thats why they keep doing it. Because they can.
