Walter “Ott” Dyer, 80, of Bucyrus passed away on Thursday August 22, 2013 at Fairhaven Home in Upper Sandusky. He was born Sept. 11, 1932 in Grassy Fork, KY to the late Clarence and Sarah Ann (DeLong) Dyer. Walter was married June 26, 1957 to Ota Lavon (Pollock) Dyer who preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 2007. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by sons Lenny Ray Dyer and Monnie Keith, grandson Ronald Roberts, as well as several brothers and sisters. Walter is survived by children James Allen (Julie) Keith; Pamela (Ronald ) Roberts; Roxanna Dyer; and Norma Jean Dyer all of Bucyrus; grandchildren Dody Roberts Goldy, Matthew Roberts, April, Dustin, and Misty Dyer, Angel, Josh, and Ryan Keith, Erin Schnabel, and Andrea Poffenbaugh; 14 great grandchildren; sister Pauline Hill of Vanceburg, KY; and daughter in law Shirley Dyer of Bucyrus. Walter was a retired drywall installer, working in the Bucyrus area for several years. He was a member of the Oceola Pentecostal Tabernacle. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Angel officiating, burial will follow in Oceola Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the church food pantry.
