Walter Rosciano Franco (São Paulo, January 6, 1945) is a singer and composer São Paulo. Did not actually participate in any musical cultural movement, as Bossa Nova or tropicalism, but always at the forefront, at various times. It was part of Vanguard Paulista, even before the expression is coined by the generation of Arrigo Barnabé and Itamar Assumpcao. Worked with arrangers as Duprat and Júlio Medaglia, and had the lyrics Head translated into English by Augusto de Campos. His most critically acclaimed album is Revolver [1], 1975. The composer has at least five well-known songs of the general public: the Head own, be done will of the people, Quiet Heart, Breathe Fund and Open Sailing, the latter being performed today in radio programs of flash-back. Another successful Walter Franco is Sierra Moonlight with a remarkable chorus: To live is to tune the instrument / From inside outwards / From outside inwards. Walter Franco has been re-recorded by artists such as Leila Pinheiro, Oswaldo Montenegro and Chico Buarque, and rock bands like Ira! and Venus Jersey, which also re-recorded songs of the composer.
