Wambora Condemns Khalwalehs remarks Governor Martin Wambora has condemned Senator Bonny Khalwale’s remarks made last week in the senate committee terming them as meaningless statements that are an insult to voters in Embu County.He added that he is working well with his Deputy Governor Dorothy Nditi. Wambora’s lawyer has issued senate committee chair with a letter warning him of court contempt. Speaking during an interview with the media, MCA Hon Steve Simba demanded that Khalwale should apologize and withdraw his statement.The Runyenjes Central MCA said that the remarks were unexpected of Khalwale since he is a veteran politician. The duo was speaking after launching 10 projects in Runyenjes and Manyatta constituencies.The launched projects included water for irrigation, water for domestic use as well as flood and street lights in Runyenjes town. The County government also aims at graveling all graded roads in the County. Speaking at the same occasion Lands, Water and Natural resources CEC Mr. Josphat Kithumbu said a tender advertisement has been issued to procure a two-acre murram shamba in every ward to ensure that all County access roads are graveled. He added that the over 40 water projects to be launched shall help offer job opportunities to the youth in the County. CEC Kithumbu said that the projects shall cost about KES 231M in this 2014/15 financial year. “Each school, polytechnic and dispensary in Embu County shall be issued with 2 water tanks with a capacity of 1200Ltrs each to conserve the essential commodity,” he said. MCAs Robert Ireri (Kagaari South), Michael Njeru (Kithimu) and Michael Kariuki (Ruguru/Ngandori) echoed it’s time for development and urged on Embu County residents to support the Governor in his development agenda.
