Wanna help with #document12 but dont have the time to volunteer? Well youre in luck! Carla Novi is an artist based in Glasgow, and for the last year she has been working on a project regarding the Rana Plaza disaster in Bangladesh, where an 8-story building collapsed, leaving more than a thousand workers dead. As a result of a year long research and development, she will be presenting a performance at the CCA on the 12th of October as part of Document. But for the for the performance, Im going to be using 1000 garments which I am currently trying to collect through donations. The garments will only be used for one day and then they will be donated to charity or to textile recycling afterwards. Weve left a laundry basket at reception at CCA (350 Sauchiehall St), so please drop off your unwanted clothes there, anytime from now until the 6th of October. Any little bit counts.
