Wanna play Doctor with me? Here goes anyway. Have any of you or your parents ever had or heard of this condition? I am choking constantly since about July 10th! Been playing doctor on WebMD and a couple other sites looking for a cure...or even a cause. (To start with, I never suffer from heart-burn or acid reflux...not ever! Never have. So I know it is not a damaged esophagus but feels like one would likely feel.) There is a small nodule in the tissue to the right of my windpipe..if I push on it, it hurts like heck...so I dont push on it. [Must not be cancer cause they say cancer doesnt hurt. LOL. (My mamas cancer hurt.)] Of course, now the hypo-chondriac in me thinks that I must have something akin to what Joan Rivers had in her throat...and she croaked. So, I am scared to go see anyone about it...and equally scared not to. I finally went to the doctor who has set me up with another doctor next week... It is a sensation of someones great big ol thumb pressing on my throat 24/7. I go to bed with it, wake up with it and deal with it best all day long when I can stay occupied with cooking, cleaning and working on painting projects for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas and caring for the orphaned squirrel....and taking breaks to see whats happening on FB. By the end of day, I almost cannot talk... my voice is raspy to nearly gone....(John is loving the silence!) The only thing I can factor in, is that I did cut out salt completely 2 years ago to deal with high Bp and the congestive heart failure...So, maybe I am having a thyroid issue and needing iodized salt back on the menu. Is there a doctor in the house here on Facebook? Got any ideas what this can be? I am worn out from lack of sleep and waking up unable to breathe due to the swollen area in my neck. If this is not something that will kill me, I would rather cancel that doctor appt. and get on with my life dealing with it until I get better. Comments requested. Thank you. for your time....and any ideas!!
