Wanneroo Wolves veteran Sue Williams has become the first female, and second ever player in SBL history to reach the astounding milestone of 500 SBL Games. Williams milestone will be celebrated this Saturday night at Joondalup Basketball Stadium when the top placed Wolves take on the Flames who sit third on the WSBL ladder. Chief SBL Commissioner John Gardiner will present the milestone award on behalf of the SBL. Her amazing career began in 1990 with Willetton, where she played 361 games. In the seventeen years with Willetton, Williams was a part of six WSBL grand finals and four WSBL Championships which included 1997, 1999, 2004 and 2005. Sue moved to join the Wanneroo Wolves in 2008 where she is now in her sixth season with the club and continuing to be a solid contributor to her team. Over her 22 seasons in the SBL, Williams has averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Williams joins SBL games record holder and Cockburn Cougars legend Troy Clarke who amassed 512 games over a 20 year SBL career.
