Wannetta Marie Wilson was a joy to William Francis and Florence Evelin Roberts upon her birth July 5, 1946 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Two years later, the family moved to Kent, WA and later to Tacoma, WA where she grew up. She became a dedicated, baptized servant of Jehovah God in June,1968, remaining loyal & unwavering in her devotion and love for Jehovah until her death on September 23, 2014. Nita, as she was affectionately known, had a best friend Karren Franklin and upon moving to California she introduced her to Don Wilson whom she married on January 31, 1988. She was a devoted wife and mother of four children. Don, a loyal and faithful husband, lovingly cared for and supported his wife until the end. Nita evoked a high level of care & loyalty from friends near & far who took note of her grace & dignity in meeting all her challenges. That spoke volumes about the wonderful woman she was. A dedicated mother to daughters Veronica Rhodes of Medford, OR, Kim Dequine of Sherwood, OR and Bethann Prittie of Portland, OR, Nita was also blessed with 13 grandchildren. Wannetta is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law Sylvia & James Miller of Graham, WA, brother Everett Roberts of Nevada, brother and sister-in-law Roger & Nancy Roberts of PA, & brother and sister-in-law Keith & Beverly Roberts of Tacoma WA Nita was preceded in death by her parents, previous husband William Prittie and son Rod Prittie. She and Don moved to Oakland, OR in 2009 after spending time setting up and decorating their retirement home. The interior was graced with numerous swans in the décor since Nita greatly appreciated their natural grace and beauty Her knowledge of and appreciation for various plants helped her select the right plants for their homes landscaping. She loved to cook, fed her family well and doted on family & friends alike with concerns for their health & well-being until she became too ill to do so. Don and the extended family would like to share their heartfelt appreciation to the Sutherlin & Crater Lake congregations for the outpouring of love and support shown them during this time. There is a special thank you to Mercy Medical Center, Amedysis Hospice, Umpqua Care Facility, OHSU, and USC’s Keck Medical Center for their compassionate care for Nita these last years of her life. Nitas family and friends would like to express enormous gratitude to Virginia Facer for her tremendous love & devotion in providing loving kindness and support to Wannetta & Don especially during the final months and which she continues to provide to the family. Nita’s Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 18th, at 4:00 P.M. at the Sutherlin Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2715 Westlake Blvd., Sutherlin, Oregon.
