Want attend, mentor or even speak at a hackathon? My friend, Jacob Cole, is a student at MIT organizing a cool hackathon in Houston, TX for July 11-12. Jacob isworking on a platform — hackathonideas.tk — for collaborative ideation for hackathons. In support of the project, AT&T offered up a series of hackathons they are running as opportunities to test it, the first of which is in Houston, July 11-12. Jacob wants to connect with folks in the hacker/entrepreneurship community who can be in Houston on July 11-12 to attend, mentor, or speak at the event. (Ideally, mentors would be professional software engineers and/or entrepreneurs, but those with business connecting and modeling experience could also add a lot of value.) Social ventures are being especially encouraged, and they will have food from local four-star restaurants.
