Want to add your voice to a petition? Here is what I wrote. The Murdoch lobby, the minority shareholders in Fairfax, and Kerry Stokes all take delight in trashing one of this countrys modern treasures, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The service it gives to our community and a strong democracy are important to me. I believe that they are vital to maintain and worth paying for. I am particularly concerned about the proposal to discontinue Radio Nationals Bush Telegraph. This program, alongside Landline on ABC1, are to my mind the only dedicated programs broadcast nationwide which serve Australians in rural, remote and regional areas. Please give serious consideration to keeping Bush Telegraph going.
