Eligible Medics will receive: -One RollerCon Pass -2 RollerCon EMT Shirts (To be worn while on shift) -One free shared room at The Riviera Hotel for the duration of Volunteer time Qualifications: *In order to be eligible for the RollerCon Medics Compensation Package, Medics must: -Be a certified EMT, Paramedic, RN, or PA, Proof required -Be CPR Certified, Proof required -Have submitted RC Medic application -Be committed to 25+ hours of Volunteer Medic Shifts in Volgistics. -Read and understand the RollerCon Safety Handbook, and operate within the guidelines Specified (This will be given to you at a later date) -Attend the Pre-RollerCon Medic Meeting (if you are arriving in Las Vegas later you must discuss ahead of time with Medic Manager) Duties: Administers cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid. In The event of a medical emergency, provides emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as: - Rapid and detailed assessment of injured parties - Controlling hemorrhage - Treating shock - Assessing for concussions - Bandaging wounds - Immobilization of painful, swollen, or deformed extremities - Immobilization of painful, swollen, or deformed neck or spine - Determines whether further medical care is necessary - Responsible for activate 9-1-1 for advanced life support transport to hospitals
