Want to know a great way to give back over the holidays...and include your kids? Grab a tag or two from a Giving Tree. Let your kids help you shop for the items on the tag(s) you pick...and explain to them that youre getting these gifts for those less fortunate. It can cost as much or as little as you can afford. My family always grabs at least 2. No, we are not made of money, not even close. Were struggling with car repairs, braces payments, debt, etc...just like everyone else. But these tags have nothing. Often, the only gift theyre getting is the one you give. Many are asking for practical things like warm socks, mittens. One man last year asked for GC to take his wife out to eat for their anniversary. One little girl a few years ago asked for a ribbon for her hair. She asked for ONE ribbon (we hooked her up with all kinds of hair accessories). My boys look forward to picking out tags. We try to imagine the story behind why theyre asking for those items, and how happy theyll be when they open it on Christmas morning! It warms our heart ❤️🎄
