Want to know what its like inside a fire? Take a look at this video shot just a few minutes ago. What you are seeing is LTFD members participating in practical evolutions in a simulated structure fire. In this evolution, one crew is removing a victim while a second crew is advancing an attack line passed them. Notice how you cant see anything? Now imagine the room is around 500 degrees or higher and youll have an idea of what we do. Crews were not permitted to use their flashlights in the simulated smoke environment to make them use other skill-sets while searching and advancing an attack line. This drill is preparing our membership for our fall burn later in September.
