Meet Dr. Aaliya Yaqub: Dr. Aaliya Yaqub MD is a physician at the Facebook Health Center in Menlo Park on the Facebook campus. She is also medical director of a healthcare startup called Better Corp, based in Palo Alto. Better is a mobile app that acts like a personal health assistant for patients. She graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and subsequently completed her residency in internal medicine at Stanford Hospital and Clinics. She also completed a fellowship in Rheumatology and Dermatology at Stanford sponsored by the NIH. She has authored and published many papers in leading rheumatology journals and spoken as an expert at medical conferences. Her true passion is delivering the highest level and quality of care to her patients through innovative technology and beyond. Dr. Yaqub attended Rice University in Houston, TX for her undergraduate studies and double majored in English and Biology. She also served as a member of the admissions committee both there and at the UCLA school of medicine. She has been an active blogger on many healthcare websites where she loves to educate patients about important topics. She lives in Menlo Park with her husband and 1 year old daughter. She is expecting her second baby in early June.
