Based on the answers, the site presents a curated summary of the federal, state and local government requirements for opening a business, including licenses, permits, tax obligations and other documents. Finding and figuring out what forms are necessary has been a huge hurdle for many first-time entrepreneurs. “I know firsthand that navigating layers of government can be frustrating,” Secretary of State Mark Martin said. “Our goal with this website is to make the process easier for anyone who is thinking of starting a business in Arkansas. Our vision for DreamItDoItArkansas is to streamline interactions between all Arkansas businesses and government agencies.” The site’s modern design and inspirational message to first-time entrepreneurs is a delightful contrast to traditional government websites.
